Technology Office of Commercializable Research-Based Hatch (TORCH) is an innovative incubation center at ILMA University, designed to help startups accelerate their growth and successfully reach potential markets. With a pan-global approach, TORCH aims to empower entrepreneurs by offering essential support, including funding of up to $10,000, along with access to a network of top experts. These experts provide invaluable assistance in key areas such as training, fundraising, networking, and promotion, creating a strong foundation for startup success.

TORCH’s philosophy is clear: “We want your success, not your equity!” This means that TORCH is committed to supporting startups without taking ownership, allowing entrepreneurs to retain full control of their ventures while benefiting from the resources and expertise offered through the incubation program.

ILMA University, one of the leading higher education institutions in Pakistan, is accredited by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Government of Pakistan, and other allied regulatory bodies. Established in 2001 as the Institute of Business & Technology (BIZTEK), it was chartered by the Government of Sindh through an Act of Legislation in 2004. In 2017, ILMA University was elevated to its current status through an Act legislated by the Provincial Assembly of Sindh. Since its inception, the university has been providing world-class education and has earned top rankings for its undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate programs.

TORCH collaborates with both national and international institutions under the umbrella of the Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC) at ILMA University. The goal of these collaborations is to accelerate the innovation process by providing investment, guidance, and resources that foster the development of groundbreaking solutions. Through ORIC, TORCH works tirelessly to bridge the gap between research-based ideas and market-ready products, ensuring that innovations are successfully commercialized.
