ILMA University Academic Policies: Student Guidelines
At ILMA University, we prioritize your academic journey and success. Our comprehensive Academic Policies are designed to guide, support, and facilitate you throughout your studies. These guidelines ensure a smooth and productive educational experience. Here's what you need to know:
Program Duration Management:
Our programs have defined durations – 4 years for bachelor's and 2 years for master's. You can take up to 12 courses per year, including summers. If you complete 24 courses in 2 years, you're on track. However, if you finish 26 courses within 2 years, you're ahead, and your course load for the third year will be adjusted accordingly.
Low GPA Support:
We understand that academic challenges can arise. If your GPA falls below 2.2 (bachelor's) or 2.8 (master's), you'll be placed on probation for one semester. To help you bounce back, we'll lighten your course load. Aim to achieve a minimum GPA of 2.5 (bachelor's) or 3.0 (master's) in the subsequent enrolled semester.
Repeat Course Management:
Sometimes, a setback might occur in the form of a failed course. If this happens, the student affairs department shall enroll in those courses in the coming semester first and will also reduce your course load. This approach ensures that you can focus on mastering the content and improving your understanding.
Provisional Admission Assistance:
For students admitted on a provisional basis, we offer extra support. You'll be given a reduced course load to help you adapt and excel in your new academic environment.
Course Progression Guidance:
Our academic advisors are here to guide you in planning your course progression. They can assist you in selecting the right courses, understanding prerequisites, and ensuring a balanced workload across semesters.
Remember, ILMA University is committed to your academic success. These guidelines are meant to empower you on your educational journey. If you have any questions or need further assistance, don't hesitate to apply through any other request to seek guidance. 80% attendance is mandatory in all courses for appearing in examinations.
Together, we'll make your time at ILMA University rewarding and impactful.
