BA in Architecture(BA-ARC)
The BAin Architecture at ILMA University provides the opportunity to study architecture while pursuing other interests that supplement their liberal arts education. The architectural intensive program is tailored to interests, strengths, and career objectives. The program leads to work in related architectural fields, landscape architecture, graphic or industrial design, urban design and planning, law, public policy, history/theory of architecture or business.
Following are the objectives of the program:
Demonstrate critical thinking through a self-reflective process of conceptualization and design thinking that is open to consideration of alternative perspectives
Implement complex two and three-dimensional graphic representation techniques using a wide variety of traditional and digital media
Impart the knowledge and ability to apply a design decision-making process through appropriate technical documentation
Incorporate a wide range of technical skills and professional architectural knowledge during schematic design
Demonstrate the ability to synthesize a wide range of variables into an integrated design solution by employing appropriate building materials, building systems, and construction practices
Develop the understanding of the process of conceiving, developing and implementing solutions to problems in the built and natural environments
