Introduction

The deputation of Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC) is to generate new ideas to enrich the knowledge base that supports the academic agenda of Ilma University and its members (students, faculty & staff) for achieving sustainable and equitable development in the academic arena. To maximize the impact of research, ORIC carries out a set of activities that serve as inputs to the university departments, the academic community:

Manages and executes comparative research studies and projects on the development issues of greatest concern today. Research topics are organized into the following categories: Finance, Labor and Social Issues, Marketing, International business, Economics;

Leverages its internal research capabilities by supporting and contributing to the various Online Research Journals indexed and abstracted by ISI Thomson, Elsevier, IDEAS, Scopus etc ) which encompasses over 100,000 peer-reviewed articles;

Disseminates the research findings to the academic community: published papers, working papers, Journal, conferences and seminars.

ORIC affirms the broad mission of Ilma University in delineating advance research education for the under-graduate and post-graduate studies with an intention to enhance the value of Ilma University.

Besides, ORIC also imparts in policy making in relation to the research activities for the academic and corporate world.

Vision

The Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC) will accelerate the pace of high-quality research by fostering linkages and communication between research intellectuals, professionals, promoting innovation and assuring adherence to ethical and regulatory standards. Our primary goals are continual success of the University as an internationally valued research source.

Mission

Research is used as an academic dialogue, to include not only the diverse activities relating to publication, performance and presentation.
  • to support and facilitate faculty and students efforts to expand the area of human knowledge, creativity and forms of expression, particularly in those disciplines in which University awards the graduate an M. Phil. degree.
  • to contribute to improvements in professional practice through dissemination of research knowledge.
  • to serve as a resource and depository for information and knowledge-base.
  • to engage in research to contribute to development of Social Sciences, professional practice and technology.

    Ilma UNIVERSITY was built on philosophy of philanthropy. In the early 2000, the site of Ilma UNIVERSITY was established in the centre of Karachi city within the immediate vicinity of educational corridor.

    All of our tower of strength have been with us ever since and more well wishers join us every year as we pursue our equal covenant to excellence in entrepreneurial education and research. Thanks to philosophy of philanthropy of QUAID-I- AZAM we are thriving.

    Our technology based research has global effect. People here are endeavouring to increase entrepreneur’s yields to feed the nation, developing youth to be available for country and across the world. Research grants and scholarships are two of the ways in which we are supporting emerging researchers at Ilma UNIVERSITY while carrying out life-changing research.

    We are planning to offer a research-led entrepreneurial education and typifying our equal covenant to excellence in research and education, we expect our faculty members to be great researchers while maintaining the attributes of the great teachers. Thanks to our tower of strengths, we are able to make QUAID-I- AZAM’s research based education available to the widest possible ambit of students.
