Admission application can be submitted online which is available on the university's website. Specific queries can be addressed to the Office of Admissions.

International students include the following categories

  • Dual National Those students who hold passport of another country along with a Pakistani passport. They are living abroad and their source of income is also in that country.
  • Pakistani Nationals Living Abroad: Those students who hold Pakistani passports but are living abroad.
  • Foreign Student: Those students who don't hold Pakistani passports or CNIC.
  • Refugee: Foreign students who have sought asylum in Pakistan
  • Ilma University has announced admissions for its new academic session. Prospective students can apply in all the admission rounds. Whereas, the foreign applicants need to apply online and wait for their visa processing or other necessary travel procedures after receiving the admission offers from Ilma University.

    All the candidates who fulfil the given admission criteria are eligible for admissions. Ilma University adheres to the HEC parameters for admitting prospective students.

  • The foreign students inclusive of their parents/guardians must display evidence and proof of their foreign nationality by their passports or any other document of identification.
  • Candidates must have strong command of spoken and written English.
  • Candidates must have completed 13 years of education or A Levels at the time of admission with a minimum Grade C or 65%.
  • Candidates must have studied the core subjects English and Mathematics in their secondary or higher secondary education.
  • Candidates need to have Islamiyat, Pakistan Studies and Urdu as their subjects if they have passed the SSC or HSSC locally.
  • Candidates must meet the program specific requirements if any at the time of admissions which include the studying of the core subjects of that particular program.
  • Candidates will need to take the Ilma Aptitude Test.
  • All foreign students are responsible to acquire IBCC equivalency certificate till such time admission will be provisional.
  • Ilma University's admission process is standardised for all the local and international applicants. Find below the step wise admission procedure.

    Step 1: Fill and submit the application
    Admission applications can be accessed online. Candidates need to fill the details with accuracy and as shown on the identification, educational and professional documents.
    • Step 2: Pay the non refundable registration fee
      The registration fee is Rs 2000/= which is non refundable and can be paid online through online transfer if out of Pakistan. If in Pakistan, the fees to be paid at the University at Main Campus Admission office.
    • Step 3: Approve for an interview
    • Step 4: Appear for Admissions Interview
      Only shortlisted students will be called for a Skype interview. Students will be informed about the dates and timings via email.
    • Step 4: Receive the admission offer letter
      Successful candidates receive a conditional offer letter to acknowledge their admission status. They are admitted on an undertaking till all their original documents are submitted in totality as well as found to be authentic. False information or fake documentation leads to expulsion of the target candidate or strict disciplinary or legal action taken to counteract this situation accordingly.
    • Step 5: Accepting the admission offer letter Admission Offer
      Once the successful candidates accept the admission offer letter, they need to sign the undertaking form and pay the enrolment fee according to the details mentioned in the offer letter to confirm their admission.
    • Step 6: Apply for a student visa
      After the successful candidates have submitted the undertaking form and paid the enrolment fee, university provides the admission offer letter so that student visa can be applied for.

    Foreign students need to submit following documents to the Pakistani Embassy abroad for visa:

    • Application Form (Student Visa Form)
    • Photocopy of passport
    • Photograph
    • Educational Documents
    • Admission letter of university
    • NOC from Ministry of Foreign Affairs Government of Pakistan
    • NOC from Higher Education Commission (HEC), Government of Pakistan
